Trinity 7 - Isaiah, living and working in the South of the country (Jerusalem) about 740-701BC. Assyria has nobbled the north and had an unsuccessful nibble at the south. Isaiah sees on and beyond to the next empire that is coming on the scene - Babylon - which does nobble the south - and even further into the release of the exiles from Babylon by Cyrus, the king of Persia. He even specifies his name centuries before he is born. God takes - and communicates - the long view to his spokespeople. Faith is living every day trusting in a God the like of which there is no other - even when he sees absent. It's in that very moment that faith kicks in.
