A testament to Alba's ingenuity is our successful collaboration with BBC Industries (an OEM / APN). BBC manufactures bag hooding equipment, taking a plastic bag and heat shrinking it over finished product pallets, which are then ready to ship to stores for consumer purchase.
The palletized product - rolled roofing material placed on a 44” x 52” four runner skid. The maximum pallet weight is 2,500 pounds.
BBC required a conveyor system with a unique 31” x 45” opening in the middle to accommodate their pallet lift. The purpose was to lift the pallets off the conveyor for shrink-wrapping with their hooder.
Additionally, Alba worked with BBC to customize the conveyor with fork pockets that matched the dimensions of the end user's fork tines (two fork pockets, 12” wide by 40” long on two CDLR conveyors). To create a unified appearance, Alba supplied the conveyors with a special gray paint color to match BBC's equipment.
