Due to the quirks of minor league scheduling, 1B Umpire Marco, who called the balk on Lawrence in Game 1, was working behind home plate in Game 2 when Lawrence continued his balk complaint from earlier in the day, unhappy that the umpires did not call a balk on Worcester Red Sox pitcher Chase Shugart for a similar move and pickoff attempt at first base.
