How can we make Australian whisky even better?
The maturation of whisky is about balancing the flavour of the oak, the mellowness of the new make spirit, and the way all the elements react together over time.
Like any reaction, you can speed it up by adding energy to the system.
There have been years of research confirming that sound waves can be used to add energy to the maturation of whisky, usually music. Over a barrel tasting with the team at Kelly Grove, we got to thinking what impact would the incredible sounds of the Mustang V8 at full noise around Mount Panorama have?
So of course we tried it!
