Donald Gets Bad News

Bruce W. Nelson Like a shriveled mushroom,
like some wilted lettuce,
like a decomposing donut pecked at by a bird,
Donald’s in the courtroom
where he sits and sleeps
and he stinks and stares
and he gets bad news.
Like a broken record
that keeps on repeating
and keeps on repeating as he’s talking to the press.
Donald’s in the hallway
just outside of court
where the jury sits
to decide his fate.
Donald may be large but he is also really thick
Working with him, lawyers say, is like trying to train a brick.
Added to that is the fact that deep down, he’s a prick.
Me?, I like to compose songs to poke him with a stick.
Like a sleazy salesman,
like an online scammer,
like a psycho who's attacked good people with a hammer,
Donald’s in the courtroom
where he fouls the air
where he sits and scowls
as he gets bad news.
