Sequim Irrigation Festival Classic Car Show and Grand Parade – Part 2

Randall Wingett After a 3-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Classic Cruise and Show was back, and it was a magnificent, mechanical spectacle! Nearly 300 cars along with some vintage motorcycles participated in the Classic Cruise and Car Show!
In this Part 2 video, as I reached the end of the Classic Cruise on E Washington Street in Sequim (Part 1 video), progress slowed as us drivers were directed into an open field where we parked our vehicles in rows for the car show. At least two cars overheated due to the hot weather and the stop-and-go progress. But not my Model A! It was at this intersection on Washington Street that the Grand Parade began, heading west in the opposite direction up Washington Street. I was a little disappointed that the Classic Cruise wasn't included in the actual Grand Parade. Anyway, as you can appreciate in this video, the stunning gathering of classic cars of unlimited variety was the ultimate eye candy for car enthusiasts. I hope that my walk-by videos of a few rows of almost 200 classic cars tells the story of the pristine, shiny beauty and ownership pride of this collection of classic vehicles.
Background:
The Dungeness River is the source of precious Olympic Mountains water that transformed the parched prairie into lush farmlands. The "big day" of the opening of the irrigation floodgates was on May 1,1896.
A good friend texted me urging me to participate in the Sequim Classic Cruise and Show with my 1931 Ford Model A pickup, providing a link for online registration. I thought about this for several days and decided that providing I flushed and changed the coolant in my "A," and did a thorough cleaning it would be mechanically and visually ready for the parade and show. So, I signed up!
