"Mohrentanz" translates roughly as "Peasant Dance". I perform this piece with a very full registration throughout. You will also hear the Haverhill organ's Trompette en Chamade. Sometimes, this reed's "Spanish" character is a bit overwhelming, but it seems perfectly suited for this music. The choir contrasts the chamade with it's reeds and cornet. 8:: Ode to Joy by Gert van Hoef (Hauptwerk Organ)

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 15.10.2018 · 07:09:40 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· Fantasy on "Ode to Joy" arranged by Gert van Hoef. The tune is from Beethoven's 9th symphony. The sheet music can be purchased and downloaded at Gert's shop at https://www.gertvanhoef.nl/cart_eng/products.php#pdf under "Sheetmusic 7 - Fantasie 'Ode to Joy' - pdf" This was performed on the Bovenkerk Hinsz virtual instrument for Hauptwerk. Gert made a recording of this on the actual Bovenkerk organ, which isn't currently on YouTube. I aimed for 100% accuracy to his registrations in that recording since I'm using the virtual version of that instrument. I did a very long, detailed analysis of that video, right down to watching shadows cast by the drawknobs to get the exact registrations, which I've uploaded here: https://gist.github.com/subn3t/bc939f9c86a58721c06d074949bde803 MP3 download here: http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/31706

14:: Battle Cry of Freedom arr. Richard Elliott | Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe Organ

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 26.08.2012 · 07:01:21 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· High-quality MP3: http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/8018 This is Richard Elliott's arrangement of the song "Battle Cry of Freedom" which was written by George Frederick Root during the American Civil War. That performance is also available on YouTube, and can be found under the title "Rally Round the Flag". The sample set is the Salisbury Cathedral Father Willis by Milan Digital Audio.

15:: Mohrentanz by Tylman Susato | Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe Organ

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 05.05.2011 · 08:08:02 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· High-quality MP3: http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/5108 This latest offering is a lively dance composed Tylman Susato (c.1500-c.1564). This recording was made using Hauptwerk v4 with the Haverhill OIC sample set by David Butcher of Lavender Audio.

16:: Jig in A minor by Neil Harmon | Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe Organ

01.01.1970 · 01:00:00 ··· 10.01.2011 · 08:42:14 ··· ···
··· ··· ··· ··· Neil Harmon's "Jig in A minor" was written to commemorate the retirement of Dr. John Longhurst, who served as an organist for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 30 years. This piece was known as "Fantasy on the name Longhurst" before it was published in 2010. I've found this piece to be very versatile and particularly enjoy it's medieval quality. High-quality MP3: http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/4275 The sheet music for this piece may be ordered here: http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/Two-Festive-Pieces/19476319
