Welcome to this longplay of 'Zero Team', a unique beat 'em up arcade game developed by Seibu Kaihatsu. This game, often compared to Capcom's 'Final Fight', takes us on a thrilling rescue mission as we control the special military troop consisting of Ace, Speed, Spin, and Big-O.
In 'Zero Team', a mysterious force has kidnapped a woman, and it's up to our heroes to save her. The game takes us through six diverse stages, from gritty local slums to traditional Japanese castles, and finally to an underground base hidden under a remote island. Throughout the journey, we'll catch glimpses of the main villain taunting our heroes, building up to a climactic final confrontation.
The gameplay shares similarities with 'Final Fight', with a two-button configuration for punch and jump. However, 'Zero Team' introduces unique mechanics, such as different combo strings depending on the joystick direction, defensive techniques like breaking falls or rolling out of position, and character-specific special moves.
Watch as we navigate through waves of enemies, smashing up boxes in bonus games, and using the environment to our advantage by throwing destructible objects. Despite the intense action, the game also has a sense of humor, with slapstick moments and enemies exploding into flaming chunks.
