Khalistan Freedom Rally: Safety of Indian Diplomats Compromised

The Wire The Khalistani movement refers to the separatist movement aimed at creating an independent Sikh state called Khalistan in the Punjab region of India. This separatist movement has yet again joined forces with different groups and organisations who have a common goal of promoting the khalistani ideology and withdrawing themselves from the Indian state. Recently, the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, former leader of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) , invoked outrage amongst the alarmingly large number of Khalistani supporters, resulting in a rally being organised to honour and fight for the justice of their former leader. The rally taking place tomorrow, 8th July 2023 can dent the safety of the Indian diplomats who are being called the alleged murderers of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
