Seth Rollins Open Challenge! | WWE 2k23 Universe Mode
After the WWE completely Reset in WWE 2k22, and a FULL YEAR LATER, we are here! Vince McMahon decided to sell the company after being FORCED to leave by losing to Austin Theory at WrestleMania, and the NXT GM Rylo Meltzer decided to buy it BEFORE Head Booker Jake Pentagon (me) could get to it. (AKA, While i was having a WrestleMania match vs Sami Zayn) Jake appointed Rylo as NXT GM as a favor, but now, he's lost control from within. Rylo decided to leave Jake as the GM of RAW, and take over Smackdown for good!
WE BACK ON MONDAY NIGHT RAW and it opens with our WWE Champion Seth Freakin Rollins issuing an OPEN CHALLENGE for later tonight and he will defend that WWE Title! We have the start of the King Of The Ring Tournament as Sami Zayn takes on Current King, Xavier Woods! Chad Gable thanks Kurt Angle for everything he has helped him with, but then the US Champion gets struck by SOLO SIKOA!! Baron Corbin finally steps in the ring despite not being on a roster when he teams up with his employer, Cameron Grimes, to take on Los Lotharios! MVP seems to have struck a deal with The Street Profits..?!? The first matchup in the Queen Of The Ring Tournament goes down as The Heritage Champion Charlotte Flair takes on Zelina Vega! Bray Wyatt tells all and explains how Matt Riddle is alive! DIY & The Way talk it over before the KOTR Tournament, and Tommaso Ciampa tries to instill some rage into Johnny Gargano! And then the main event is a bunch of Open Challenge SHENANIGANS!
HOW THIS UNIVERSE MODE WORKS:
2k23 RULES
-2 GMs battle it out weekly to see who has the better show (Community Polls after each RAW/SD episode)
-Whoever is winning in the ratings/polls gets a little boost to their show (tbd later)
-No Stealing Talent (unless a stipulation/loan), and Trades can be made
-Whoever has the best show at the end of 2k23, wins...something
FROM THE RESET
-All Championships have been vacated, leaving each brand with a World, Midcard, Womens, and Tag Titles
-Every storyline from current day has been DROPPED, but you can't erase a superstar's history with one another
-Each Wrestler will have their Win / Loss Record tracked, with everyone having a clean slate 0-0 record.
-The Rosters will stay relatively the same from real life at the start, with little twists (No Released Talent)
-Videos will be sporadic from now on, I'm not promising a schedule.
This Universe Mode will be different then some of the others. I will be deciding who wins, I'm not gonna try to hide it, because you can see the pin screen and targeting thing. There will be 4 or 5 matches per episode, depending on the storylines going on. If there is anymore than 4, they will be edited down to not take too much time, I don't wanna make 30 minute videos here unless its a PPV. The matches will be mostly from the camera angle that WWE 2k22 Provides, with most of them using highlight reel for the finish or after the match for a custom cutscene. Expect the unexpected in this Universe Mode, and remember...to not take it too seriously.
