How to tame birds. Part 2 - Siskin and common redpoll on my hand

When I want to lure birds like this onto my hand for the first time, I hide behind the inside, behind the open window. I take the food bowl away, put a few grains on my hand and place my hand outside where the bowl with the food was previously. So the hand is the new bowl and the birds can only see my arm. My body is inside my apartment, well hidden behind the window. I just reach around the window frame from the inside out. The birds fly in my hand, sit on my hand and start to eat. Now I move my hand carefully into my field of vision. As soon as the birds see me, they realize that they are not sitting in a bowl. Sometimes a bird becomes restless and flies away. But as soon as one remains seated, everyone else sees that it is safe and that I do not eat it. Then they all come and want to eat too. After a few seconds they are cool with me and accept me. From then on I can stand up openly and offer my hand. I can even move, not too fast, but moderately. If I hold my hand open the next day, they'll know how to interpret the invitation and come to me. In the days after that, they'll fly to me if they only see me.
Wenn ich Vögel wie diese zum ersten Mal auf meine Hand locken will, dann mache ich links die Balkontür auf, ziehe das Fenster rechts zu und verstecke mich hinter dem Rollo. Dann nehme ich die Futterschale rein, lege ein paar Körner auf meine Hand und lege meine Hand draußen an die Stelle an der zuvor die Schale mit dem Futter gestanden hat. Die Hand ist also die neue Futterschale und die Vögel können nur meinem Arm sehen. Mein Körper ist drinnen gut versteckt, ich greife nur von innen nach außen um den Fensterrahmen herum. Die Vögel kommen angeflogen, setzen sich auf meine Hand und fangen an zu Fressen. Jetzt bewege ich die Hand vorsichtig in mein Sichtfeld. So bald mich die Vögel sehen, realisieren sie dass sie nicht in einer Schale sitzen. Manchmal wird ein Vogel unruhig und fliegt weg. Aber so bald einer sitzen bleibt, sehen alle anderen dass es sicher ist und dass ich ihn nicht verspeise. Dann kommen sie alle und wollen auch Fressen. Nach wenigen Sekunden sind sie dann cool mit mir und akzeptieren mich. Von da an kann ich mich ganz offen hinstellen und die Hand anbieten. Ich kann mich sogar bewegen, nicht zu schnell, aber moderat. Wenn ich dann am Tag darauf die Hand offen hin halte, wissen sie die Einladung zu deuten und kommen angeflogen. In den Tagen danach kommen sie schon angeflogen wenn sie mich nur sehen.
