⭐️How I Got Top Grades Without Making Any Notes in Med School⭐️ (can also be used for: GCSEs/A Levels/any exams that require fact recall)
📚I have a full e-book that goes into this in more detail, but here is the rough guide:
1. 📱Download a flashcard app - I used both Anki and Quizlet and would recommend either.
2. ❓During lectures, create flashcards to test yourself later instead of making notes - a much more efficient use of your time to create resources using an evidence-based study method called active recall.
3. 💻 Alternatively, upload your lecture slides to an AI service that will literally create the flashcards for you - I didn't have this technology in med school, but I would seriously recommend it to anyone studying now.
4. 🔁 Use spaced repetition to test yourself - Quizlet and Anki both have these features built-in. Increase the spaces between active recall sessions to strengthen the neural connections in your brain.
5. ✅ Do as many past papers and practice questions as possible! Flashcards test fact recall, while past papers and practice questions test your application. Both are essential.
