Randall Wingett Paul and his grandson, Talen, responded to my call to come quickly and prepare our laundry room for the new LG washer/dryer tower. This video documents the final result.
So, how do you update or remodel a 1970's hallway closet laundry area in a small house? Diane and I considered removing the wall between the master bathroom and laundry area merging the two, relocating the laundry room to the opposite end of our house at the northeast corner of our garage, and simply upgrading the washer and dryer. But all these options were technically problematic, impractical, or just uninspiring! So, we came up with a plan for increasing the space by replacing the two full-size washer and dryer with a combination washer-dryer tower unit, removing or modifying the old wall cabinets, and most importantly, eliminating the awkward pair of bifold doors.
