Tough choice for Open AI management over former CEO Sam Altman's possible return

ShanghaiEye魔都眼 Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella said Monday the company would hire OpenAI's former CEO Sam Altman and co-founder Greg Brockman and make them lead an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) research team.
On the other side, some investors in OpenAI, makers of ChatGPT, are exploring legal recourse against the company's board, after the board ousted CEO Sam Altman and sparked a potential mass exodus of employees.
More than 700 of the company’s roughly 770 employees have signed a letter threatening to quit unless the current board resigns and reappoints Altman.
Microsoft hit a record high after it hired prominent artificial intelligence executives.
Altman was fired from OpenAI on Friday after OpenAI's board of directors said it "no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI."
OpenAI was founded as a nonprofit in 2015 with the core mission of ensuring that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity.
