SIERRA and Mitch were in a lesbian relationship for eight months before Mitch decided to transition to a man. Speaking to Truly, Mitch explained: "I got with Sierra and I really started thinking about my identity. Sierra is the first person I told. I was thinking about it months before, but I just really wanted to make sure that I was making the right decision." Since then, Mitch has started sharing his transition journey online and the pair have a big social media following. Unfortunately, they've both experienced cruel jibes, with one person saying, "Born a woman, stay a woman" and another calling the couple "Stupid freaks of nature". Sierra said, "It's honestly really heartbreaking to see how much hate people have for people they don't even know." Luckily, the pair support each other through the tough times and Mitch revealed: "Sierra's always there to comfort me if I'm feeling very dysphoric or self-conscious." Sharing his experience with others, Mitch said: "To people who are starting out transitioning, I would say just be really confident and take pride in yourself."
