UN Women boss visits Isange One-Stop Centre, praises Rwanda's efforts to end Gender Based Violence

Established in 2009 with the support from the First Lady, Jeannette Kagame, through her Imbuto Foundation, Isange One Stop Centre aims to ease access to services needed by GBV victims such as medico-legal examinations, psychotherapy and treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS, STI/D’s, and legal support, among others. Speaking during her visit to the facility, the Executive Director of UN Women Sima Bahous commended President Kagame and the First Lady for their commitment and leadership to end gender-based violence and child abuse in Rwanda. “I will be promoting and advocating for more support to such centres in this country and also promoting this model throughout the world where I visit,”.
