The Raunheim forest lake is located near Raunheim in Hesse. Lake friends from the surrounding towns of Flörsheim (about 4.3 km from the lake), Rüsselsheim (5.0 km to the shore) and Hattersheim (about 5.7 km away) can cool down in the Raunheim forest lake on hot days or die Possibility to relax in the sun. The nearest major town from which to visit the lake is Hofheim am Taunus. The lakes Waldschwimmbad Rüsselsheim (approx. 2.9 km), Mönchwaldsee (approx. 3.6 km) and Badesee Walldorf (approx. 8.4 km) are also very close by.
The lake is located in the district of Groß-Gerau and has an area of around 40 hectares. In the last measurement in 2014 by official bodies of the European Union, the lake received the grade "excellent".
