In 1968, this film entered the public domain due to the claimant's failure to renew its copyright registration. So I can run & post it for free for everyone to watch. My DVD of it wasn't that great quality, but better than VHS. So I sharpened it as best I can, & cleaned it up, while keeping the file size for the entire movie at a tiny 290mb. But google insists on reprocessing & compressing my files their way, even after I've already compressed them down as much as possible without loosing too much quality. So their file size will be a little bigger than my version, & their compression looses more quality than mine.
However if you download the material that I post on my cloud drive, it should be identical to the material I uploaded. But if you watch it there instead, it is still compressed & altered their way, which is a larger file size, & poorer quality.
Odd.. I thought the whole point of a cloud drive is to save your files intact & unscathed. So why process, change my media, & make it bigger while making it look worse with their "processing"?
Some of us use our cloud drives to demonstrate & show our work, so we can get more work. It doesn't help if they screw up the demonstration.
