The are some dodgy deliverance ministries out there claiming to be demon slayers but they are frauds and fakes. The twist God's word and makeup dodgy teachings in order to get money. They think they are engaged in spiritual warfare but they are part of the devil's deception. People like Isaiah Saldivar and Vlad Savchuk are all fakes.
All major bible translations use the word “possessed” and all the Greek Lexicons confirm this translation.
Vines Greek Lexicon
Daimonizomai signifies "to be possessed by a demon, to act under the control of a demon."
Thayer Greek Lexicon
1) to be under the power of a demon.
Strong's Greek Lexicon
Middle voice from G1142; to be exercised by a daemon:

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1
So, the context is testing evil spirits.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4
This passage assumes that the believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit and that the evil spirits are in the world, not the believer.
Matthew 12:43-45 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Jesus is in the midst of rebuking the Jews for rejecting him and he compares them with a man who was delivered from an unclean spirit, only to be reinhabited by it and seven others worse then the first because the person was empty and uninhabited.
The reason why the Spirit was able to come back was because the person was empty and uninhabited. But, if a person receives Christ and is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, then he is no longer empty and no unclean spirit can enter him.
The assumption here is that if a person was inhabited, then the unclean spirit could not return. So, if a person receives Christ and is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, then no unclean spirit can enter him.
Furthermore, when these demon slayers say that the demons inhabit a different compartment to the Holy Spirit, they are clearly wrong because this passage assumes that the same location that was inhabited by an unclean spirit can be occupied by the Holy Spirit.
