Swiss designer Kevin Germanier drew inspiration from nudibranchs—vibrant, soft-bodied marine creatures often unfairly labeled as “dirty.”
Germanier sees the beauty in what others might discard, a theme evident in his use of unconventional materials. This season, feathers rejected from marabout production, tulle, and whimsical knick-knacks like Hello Kitty sequins, curated by Brazilian artist Gustavo Silvestre, took center stage.
Germanier’s signature more-is-more aesthetic was on full display with eye-popping pieces like a wheel of giant feathers, a knitted metallic outfit reminiscent of both Rio Carnival and Predator armor, and frothy orbs of fabric. These show-stopping designs are perfect for performers or anyone looking to make a bold statement.
However, the collection also featured standout pieces with a more subtle flair. Pencil skirts adorned with printed sequins, beaded embroidery shorts, and brightly colored knit minidresses added a touch of elegance and deserved more spotlight.
