L: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
C: Therefore, we will not fear.
L: Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall, He lifts His voice, the earth melts
C: The LORD Almighty is with us. The God of Jacob is our fortress.
L: Come and see what the LORD has done.
A: The LORD says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Prayer of Confession
Heavenly Father, we praise and thank you for seeking us out and saving us by the mighty power of Jesus. Forgive us Lord, for the days, months, and even years, that we have spent to selfishly please ourselves, rather than pay attention to your gospel call. Fill us anew with your Spirit, to redeem the time that we have wasted. Deliver us from worldly distractions that dishonours you. Plant eternity deeper into our hearts. Help us to rest in you alone. Open our eyes to see you truly as our God, so that your peace, love, joy, and hope may abound in us. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.
