U.S. General Claire Lee Chennault formed the "American Volunteer Group of the Republic of China Air Force " (Flying Tigers) in 1941. During the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he led the Flying Tigers to fight alongside Chinese soldiers and civilians. Now, his granddaughter and great-grandson have come to China, reminiscing the friendship of the Flying Tigers that spanned across the ocean. Nell Calloway, granddaughter of General Chennault, tells CGTN's Tian Wei that many veterans told her that China and the U.S. fought together as brothers. In regards to current bilateral tensions, Calloway reminds us that China and the U.S., much like real family members, don't always get along. So, China and the U.S. might not all always like what the other does, but deep down, they will always love each other.
