MrDeified In a tragic turn of events, a weekend hike turned into a nightmare for Seddon Bennington and his longtime family friend Marcella "Rosie" Jackson. The two adventurous souls had set out for a trek in the breathtaking Tararua Range of New Zealand's North Island. Little did they know, Mother Nature had a different plan in store for them. As they ventured into the rugged terrain, the weather took a sudden turn for the worse, unleashing a fierce winter southerly storm that caught the duo off-guard.
Authorities were alerted after they failed to return as planned, and a frantic search ensued. This is a story of hiking gone wrong.
