Prayer of Confession
Almighty God, you have shown yourself faithful throughout all the Holy Scriptures. You always keep your promises, even when it costs your Son, our Lord Jesus, to die on the cross. You are gracious and merciful in salvation, even as you are just and righteous in your judgments. We confess our faithlessness to your commands. We often doubt you, and take things into our own hands. Remind us afresh, that all things do work together for good, for those who love you. Help us to overcome our doubts and faithlessness. Open our eyes to see, and our hearts to believe, that you will certainly do all that you have promised, so we can better walk with obedience and faith in this life, even as we await with hope for the eternal life to come. Amen.
