Momin Saqib Get ready to relive the excitement of one of the most thrilling matches of the HBL PSL 2023! 🏏💥 Multan Sultans took on Karachi Kings in a match that had everything, from stunning centuries to incomparable bowling spells and a last-over finish that could leave you breathless 🤩
The match started with a bang as Shan Masood and Muhammad Rizwan led the way for Multan, building a partnership of 85 runs. Rizwan's brilliant century left him unbeaten with 110 runs, while Shan finally found his form with a half-century of 51 runs. Multan ended up with a mammoth first innings total of 196 runs, setting a tough target for Karachi Kings to chase.
Karachi Kings started their innings aggressively, with Vince and Wade smashing the bowlers. Vince was on fire, scoring an impressive 75 runs off just 34 balls. But Multan fought back with a brilliant bowling spell by the new find, Ihsanullah, that looked unplayable.
Imad Wasim fought hard till the end, and Karachi Kings required 22 runs off the last over bowled by Abbas Afridi. On the first ball, Imad hit a six off a waist-height no-ball, and the momentum shifted towards Karachi again. On the last ball, Karachi Kings required 5 runs, but Imad couldn't manage to hit the boundary, and Multan won the match by just 3 runs.
From Rizwan's outstanding century to Ihsanullah's superb bowling spell and Imad's lone fight till the end, this match was full of thrilling moments. The best scene was when Imad hit Illyas for 2 consecutive sixes in the second last over and the six that he hit on the first ball of the last over, which was a no-ball as well.
Although it was a hard-luck loss for Karachi Kings, they played good cricket and fought till the end. As of now, Multan has won four out of five matches, making them the top team on the points table, while Karachi Kings are in the fourth spot.
