The Quran in Surah #Ankabut and the Torah both state that Prophet Noah lived 950 years! So why does Mufti Abu Layth deny this simple fact? I believe the reason the Quran says Nuh lived 1000 years minus 50 is to teach us something about the Day of Judgement! A day with the Creator is like a thousand of our years. It was in the Torah that Yahweh said man would not live more than a single day. Beautiful harmony between the Quran and the Torah for those who believe!
