16 year old Autograss driver Adam Alderton based in Torquay recently switched from Junior class to Class 8 to compete among the big boys at the event.
In Round 2 of the UK Championships in June 2023 at Blyton Park near Scunthorpe he completed the first day with two respectable fourth places. This got him into the final where he was ranked eighth and started in the un-favoured eighth lane.
But it didn't affect his performance as he battled to a second place finish in what must be his career highlight so far.
This is the race with Jamie Hornby winning convincingly - but what a future the young man has in Motor Sport!
