Founded by renowned evangelist Rev. Aimee Semple McPherson in the 1920s, the Foursquare Gospel Church focuses on the fourfold ministry of Jesus Christ. The term "Foursquare Gospel" originated from a revival campaign in 1922 and draws inspiration from biblical references to the Tabernacle, Temple, and Heaven.
The Foursquare logo embodies balance, endurance, and divine order, while the four symbols—Cross, Dove, Cup, and Crown—represent distinct aspects of Jesus' ministry. By preaching Jesus as Savior, Baptizer, Healer, and Soon-Coming King, believers effectively share the message of salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing, and the anticipation of Jesus' future kingship.
