After Winning Rajya Sabha Contest, BJP’s Harsh Mahajan Says Cong Govt In Himachal Could Fall Soon
Harsh Mahajan, BJP’s newly elected Rajya Sabha MP from Himachal Pradesh, spoke to Rajdeep Sardesai on the origins of the political crisis facing the governing Congress party in the hill state. A day earlier Mahajan had won the lone Rajya Sabha seat from the state, defeating Congress’s Abhishek Manu Singhvi, by a draw of lots following a tie of 34 votes. “As a voter I approached Congress MLAs but it is they who want to leave the Congress unconditionally,” Mahajan said, predicting the fall of the state government in a few days.
