Lack of faith, even among God’s people is nothing new. Jesus told a story about a widow who was having a hard time getting justice. She wanted justice, and would not give up. She found the judge and bothered him day and night to move on her behalf, to bring her the justice she deserved.
And guess what? Finally, the judge decided to help her, not because he wanted to, but he said it was because she just wouldn’t give up! He said she was wearing him out with her constant asking and pleading. That’s in Luke chapter 18, verses 1 thru 5.
Jesus used this story to encourage people who have been praying and praying, and feel like giving up. He said in Luke 18, verse 7, "And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He seems to be taking a long time? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. ”He's saying, “Don’t quit! Pray and don’t quit! Don’t give up!”
Then Jesus asked a question that is still for us today. He said, "When the Son of Man, that’s Jesus, comes back, will He find faith on the earth?" Jesus is looking for faith! Today, we’re exploring five principles for walking by faith in a doubt filled world!”
