IMF says SA unlikely to stabilise public debt over medium term

SABC News The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised concerns that South Africa is unlikely to stabilise its public debt over the medium term. This, as the global lending institution pegs economic growth at a weak 0.1% for 2023, and an average of 1.4% over the next few years. This follows its traditional country meeting with key South African economic stakeholders, including government, business and labour, shortly after this year's February budget.
