Lagos State Bans Use Of Styrofoam, Single Use Plastics

TVC News Nigeria The Lagos State Government has reiterated its stand on the total ban of usage and distribution of Styrofoam and other single-use plastics in the state, says no going back on its decision.
The decision became necessary due to the destructive impact of polystyrene on the environment. Most drainage channels in the state are daily clogged up by Styrofoam through its indiscriminate dumping.
But the government has given producers and distributors the next three weeks after which full enforcement will begin.
