Auto Start for MENNEKES Professional charging stations

MENNEKES Elektrotechnik GmbH & Co. KG The practical "Auto Start" function of the MENNEKES AMTRON® Professional wallbox and the AMEDIO® Professional charging column is very easy to set up. All you need is to have the charging system installed and a laptop with administration rights. A WLAN function is not included in the Professional charging systems, so you need a USB or Ethernet cable in addition to the laptop.
Simply plug in and charge the e-car – in the Auto Start operating mode, authorisation is not required to start a charging process. Charging begins as soon as the e-vehicle is connected to the charging system and switches to the status "C" (= ready to charge). You can conveniently stop the active charging process via the connected electric vehicle.
To configure, connect your laptop to the charging system and open the web interface. Here's how it works: if you have a Professional charging system, click the menu tab "Backend". A backend connection is not required for the operating mode "Auto Start", so the parameter "Connection Type" must be set to "No Backend" and saved by clicking the "Save" button. In the menu tab "Authorisation", set the parameter "Free Charging" to "On". This setting is also applied by clicking the "Save" button. To activate the newly set operating mode, you only have to restart the charging system – done!
