Andrew's start in life is anything but happy: his mother dies young, his father can't cope with the situation and the 3 children and starts drinking and hitting Andrew. Despite the bad circumstances, he can achieve his dream and live it.
After the death of his mother, Andrew ends up on the streets and learns to survive there. Luckily, Andrew's aunt finally takes responsibility for him. She gets a job at Vision for Africa, which gives Andrew the opportunity to go to school. He also experienced how the Christian environment and the different way he was treated helped him to free himself from his inappropriate behavior and to actively seek God in his life. His aunt also discovers his gift for art, especially painting and drawing. After all, it also enables him to get an education in this area. Andrew knows that God is providing all of this and taking care of him. For that he is always grateful.
And yet the question remains open for him: What is my calling? What am I here for? He also asked God this question and got an answer. It is amazing how intensely Andrew experiences God and how God gives him the freedom to live his gift and calling, although general and personal poverty is always present. And so Andrew confidently says: "The future is bright!" Because what does the Bible say? With God all things are possible!
