I like how TikTok translates me saying "Murray Mcdavid" into 'Mario David' 😂.
From their stand at @midlandswhiskyfestival my top pick from @murraymcdavid was their 5-year-old Caol Ila finished in madeira casks. 58.1% and non-chill filtered, it's a well-balanced whisky of smoke and sweetness and super jammy. Whiskies that have contrasting flavours (sweet and smokey) are definitely something that I love flavourwise however I'm not always normally a big fan of caol ila that's just ex bourbon matured, but maybe I need to try more.
