His name is Boris Nadezhdin. And even though he’s not very “convenient” for Ukraine, since he’s not going to send Putin and war criminals on trial to Hague, he’s still the better option than Putin. At least he wants to stop the war and solve all the issues diplomatically. He’s already appearing on YouTube channels of Russian opposition, so I guess his popularity will increase in coming months. Of course, drinking tea and watching the view from the window should be forgotten for a man who declared himself Putin's opponent.. And also there is a chance he simply won’t be approved as a candidate, as he mentioned in the video.. But still it’s better than nothing. It gives hope. BTW, “Nadezhdin” translates to English as “Hoping”. So we’ll see.
