O God, our Father, we know we are your people and we have experienced your grace and goodness. But we also recognize that we too often treat your mercy and forgiveness as though somehow you owe it to us. We confess that sometimes we think our sins are nothing worse than trivial annoyances to you. Remind us today to always embrace your mercy and grace with the deepest humility and profound gratitude. We confess our sins today, recognizing our utter dependence upon you for life and hope. Hear our cry, O Lord! Forgive us we pray. Amen.
