"Within the last couple of weeks, I’ve adopted an odd sleep schedule. I’ve been going to bed around midnight, waking up at 4:30am, and going back to sleep usually from 8-11am. I really don’t know why this is happening, but I’ve decided to start taking advantage of that time I’m awake. I recorded this right when I woke up this morning at a bright 4:27am. You can see how much I care about staying in time based on the depth of bags under my eyes 😂
FOR MUSICIANS: I was just fiddling around with a ii-V-I progression (extended into some other stuff). I learned that you can substitute the V (in this case A) with a bII#11 (in this case Eb9#11) and it’s just a cool sound. I did both in this, so I used the substitution first, went to the V, and then resolved to the I. Fun stuff 🤓
