This video is about wacc calculation in nepali. Wacc stands for weighted average cost of capital .
Many Commercial banks, life insurance and non-life insurance companies went into merger for capital increment purpose and due to this the wacc or cost of capital need to calculated again of new jointly formed companies.
While selling shares in nepse, wacc must be done for proper calculation of capital gain tax. so, while calculating wacc shareholders must be awared of their original purchased price otherwise they must have to pay unnecessary capital gain tax.
Nepal Investment Mega Bank, Sanima Gic Insurance, Surya Jyoti Insurance, Himalayan Everest Insurance etc. are some of the successful merger completed companies and while selling shares of these companies shareholders must be fully awared while updating wacc. Newly formed organization shows purchase rate of Rs.100 while updating wacc. So, be careful while updating wacc.
