Midnight Syndicate will not be performing at Cedar Point for HalloWeekends 2024

WKYC Channel 3 Although Cedar Point hasn't even opened for the 2024 season, we're already learning of one change coming for the Halloween season as Midnight Syndicate announced this week that they will not be returning for HalloWeekends this fall.
"We made the announcement because we know some fans had started planning trips," Edward Douglas of Midnight Syndicate tells 3News. "We are using this time to explore other opportunities, including convention appearances, potential live events and new music."
Midnight Syndicate had spent several seasons at Cedar Point, bringing their terrifying tunes to HalloWeekends with live performances that were always filled with spooky surprises and twists.
While most of those performances were held inside the Jack Aldrich Theatre, their most recent live show for the 2023 season moved outdoors to the Celebration Plaza Stage near the Iron Dragon roller coaster.
When asked for a statement about Midnight Syndicate's announcement, Cedar Point spokesperson Tony Clark tells 3News he did not have any information to share on this year's HalloWeekends as "that will come later in the season."
Douglas tells 3News that he and co-composer Gavin Goszka, the Chardon-based duo behind Midnight Syndicate, have started preliminary work on their next album, which they plan to release in 2025.
