Ukraine announced gains in Bakmut, despite Russia's denial. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense claims to have regained ground, which is a rare advance after months of Russian dominance in the area. Authorities confirm that Ukrainian forces have advanced two kilometers around Bakmut in just one week, thanks to a striking offensive operation. The assault was led by the first assault Battalion of the third separate assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Army, a Special Forces Unit.
