📺 New Beginnings
At the beginning of the year, I mentioned that something I have been convicted about is the need to share the gospel and the need for us as a church and for us as individual followers of Jesus to share the gospel. One of the things we have been doing to try to encourage this is giving you an opportunity to share an opportunity you have had to have spiritual conversations, share the gospel, or just invite someone to church. I am not talking about an evangelistic campaign, although there is a place for that. I am not talking about street preaching, although if God is leading you to do that, you need to obey him. I am not talking about setting up a dedicated organization devoted to an evangelistic ministry, although if you believe that is God’s direction for your life, I want us to talk more about that. I am talking about sharing the gospel, day by day.
In praying about this and thinking about this, I came to a realization, and I think this is important. While I have tried to encourage you to share the gospel, I have talked about the “why” a little bit but haven’t talked about the “how” much at all. And shame on me for that. This is why we are going to spend the month of June on this subject of Evangelistic Living. This is the thing Jesus commissioned us to. As followers of Jesus, this is who we are. So, let’s get into this.
