Proverbs 23 - Thirty Wise Sayings
“My son eat honey because it is good… so shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul.”
I was in Israel a number of years ago and the hotel had a breakfast buffet. There was all manner of food, but one stood out, a honeycomb! I have never eaten anything so sweet! It was addicting!
In the same Jesus is addicting. He is like honey for our soul. We can try to be satisfied by by the things of this world, but we were not created by God to be fulfilled by them. We were created by God to know Jesus and worship Him. Only when we live for Jesus will we find we are sweet life God intended for us!
Psalm 34:8 – “Taste and see that the LORD is good.”
