Western leaders join Zelensky in Kyiv to commemorate two years of conflict

ShanghaiEye魔都眼 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed his country on Saturday in a video recorded at Hostomel airfield outside Kyiv on the second anniversary of Russia's special operation.
He also welcomed Western leaders to Kyiv Saturday to mark the anniversary, as Ukrainian forces run low on ammunition and weaponry and foreign aid hangs in the balance.
The visit by von der Leyen and the prime ministers of Italy, Canada and Belgium - Giorgia Meloni, Justin Trudeau and Alexander De Croo - was a show of support as Ukraine suffers shortages of military supplies that are hurting it on the battlefield as Moscow grinds out territorial gains.
The leaders visited Hostomel airport, site of a ferocious battle at the start of the invasion as Russia tried to fly in paratroopers to seize the capital Kyiv a few kilometers away.
