SABC News It's a race against the clock for rescue teams searching for missing flood victims in Durban, as more rain is predicted for KwaZulu-Natal. Four people remain unaccounted for, following a flash flood at the weekend.
The Quality Education Assurance body, UMALUSI has approved the release of the 2023 National Senior Certificate exam results for both private and public education bodies. UMALUSI says no exam papers were leaked but several concerns remain. It has given strict deadlines to the assessment bodies for both the private and public sectors, to present plans on how these issues will be resolved.
Parliament's Powers and Privileges Committee has resumed its disciplinary hearings into the conduct of ten EFF MPs accused of disrupting President Cyril Ramaphosa's budget vote in June 2022. The EFF sought to have the proceedings suspended in order for the committee to conduct a preliminary independent inquiry into some of the charges, which the party argues are baseless.
The committee has rejected the request and evidence is being led. All EFF MPs have pleaded not guilty.
