In an updated paperback version of his book Courtiers, Valentine Low, who is a royal correspondent of The Times, suggested that the immortal phrase "some recollections may vary" came from William and Kate’s office and was pushed by her in response to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's complaints about the monarchy in the March 2021 televised interview.
