Chapter 26 is the first of three chapters regarding the fall of Tyre and the King of Tyre. Tyre was arrogant and prideful regarding their financial strength and the military invincibility. As it turns out, they are neither. God uses many nations to conquer them, because of their pridefulness and their malice toward Judah. Ezekiel also tells us they will never be rebuilt. Even today, remnants can be seen of the flat rock where the city once stood.
