Ahead of the series premiere of Average Joe, PopCulture.com recently sat down with cast members Deon Cole, Michael Trucco, Ashley Olivia Fisher, Tammy Townsend, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, and Malcolm Barrett. They opened up about what fans can expect from the show, wherein blue-collar plumber Joe Washington (Cole) discovers that his recently-deceased father lived a secret life and stole millions of dollars.
Townsend plays Angela Washington, Joe's loving wife who suffers from a painful illness. Fisher plays Jennifer Washington, Angela's 18-year-old daughter planning on heading to Carnegie Melon.
Barrett portrays Leon Montgomery, a hardware store owner who is one of Joe's best friends. McWilliams plays Leon's true crime-loving wife, Cathy Montgomery, who never gives her husband a moment's peace and appears to be planning on divorcing him.
Trucco plays Benjamin "Touch" Tuchawuski, Joe's longtime best friend who happens to be a police officer with a vice for painkillers and heroin.
