Welcome to our 4K longplay of 'Ken-Go', a unique arcade game developed by Irem's partner company, Nanao. This playthrough showcases the full game, as we step into the role of the hero, Blue Dragon, on a mission to avenge the death of Princess Orchid.
'Ken-Go' is a side-scrolling action game set in a dark, slightly fantastic Japan, in the year 1600. The gameplay revolves around holding the action button to both block enemy attacks and charge up your own, before releasing them at the right moment. The longer you do, the further they go, and the more damage they do. This mechanic is the central pillar around which the game is built.
Throughout this longplay, we'll be navigating through a variety of enemies and bosses, dealing with the game's challenging hit detection and enemy AI. Despite its challenging gameplay, 'Ken-Go' has a certain endearing loopiness, with unexpected moments and a quirky sense of humor.
