Nigeria Rerun/By-Election Update: Voting Underway Across 26 States

News Central TV Election activities are in full swing today in 26 states of Nigeria for the rerun and by-elections to fill federal and state legislature seats. These elections are prompted by voluntary resignations or the unfortunate demise of duly elected representatives, with additional by-elections ordered by the courts in disputed areas. However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reported election disruptions in Enugu, Akwa-Ibom, and Kano states. INEC is actively investigating these incidents, as disclosed through its official handle.
The rerun and by-elections cover 80 local government areas, 575 registration areas, and 8,934 polling units.
